I come from a family and church that believes so much in ancestral curses and village people syndrome, I have seen certain trends playout through generations, I am seeing certain traits in me, I am trying to ho0ld ojn to faith and not face them or concentrate on them like i used to back themn, but I am scared i don't have all the time to grow up before the trend catches up with me, what kind of prayer do I pray now?

I'm glad for one thing I can see you know to be a solution to so called "ancestral curses and trends"... You mentioned growth
So it means you already know that growth can take care of it
So my question to you would be why do you think you don't have the time to grow up above every ancestral trend or curse?
The primary reason why time was given to you was for you to use time to grow up to God!
So are there perhaps ways you've been using your time unprofitably such that you're not seeing the commeasurate growth spiritually?
That's something to look into...
The truth is, prayer is not the primary solution to "ancestral curses" so to say...
If it were, how come persons that go to prayer mountains for such purposes never stop going?
Growth is the surest way and only permanent solution.
So I am not downplaying prayers. Prayer is a lifestyle not something you do cos you perceive there to be an ancestral curse in your life. There are things that knowing and using your authority as a believer in Jesus Christ would take care of while there are some that don't go away just like that, except you grow above them. That is how you end the cycle and it doesn't move to your children.
So the gospel is potent enough to break activities of whatever idolatrous or demonic spirit runs in your family bloodline.
So keep using your authority as a believer in Christ and speaking to the situation. While you also pay attention to your growth.
When it would fall off, you won't even know... It may be after a while that you'll just realize that the Egyptian you used to see, you can see them no more
So the focus must be on knowing Jesus and how to become more like him not on your ancestral issue
The ancestral problem or trend must not become so big in your eyes that you're now focusing on it. Jesus must always be the focus else that issue would become an idol that would not even allow you to grow...
We must come to Jesus for the sake of Jesus and not solely because of the problem we want Jesus to solve for us.
