WHO IS A PROPHET AND WHO IS A SEER!?
WHO IS A PROPHET, AND WHO IS A SEER?
Someone tells you what will happen tomorrow, and immediately you call him a prophet. But have you ever stopped to ask what makes a person a prophet? Is it simply the ability to see?
We must understand that prophets speak; seers see. What comes to my mind first is Saul first encounter with Samuel; he was looking for a seer 1Samuel 9.

Understanding their assignments helps us recognise what God has committed to each and what we should receive through their ministries.
A seer receives sight through dreams and visions. God can show such a person things concerning people, circumstances, and events ahead. This ability is not evil. God gives seers, and their operations have a place. However, seeing what will happen tomorrow does not, by itself, define a prophet's assignment.
Isaiah 30:10 says, “Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things.”

Notice the distinction: seers are addressed concerning their seeing, while prophets are addressed concerning their speaking.
Who, then, is a prophet?
A prophet brings the mind, counsel, and commandment of God concerning God and humanity. His assignment centres on revealing God’s eternal purpose: that God will dwell among men, and that men will be conformed to the image of His Son.
A prophet is a preacher who brings the revelation of God’s mysteries. His speaking gives direction into God’s intention. He communicates what is in God’s heart so that people can believe, respond, and journey towards its fulfilment.
This is why Revelation 19:10 declares, “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
The spirit of prophecy testifies of Jesus Christ: God manifest in the flesh. Its concern is God’s habitation among men and the fulfilment of His purpose in humanity. We must understand prophecy from this centre if we are to understand the ministry of a prophet.
Prophets speak God’s thoughts ahead of their fulfilment. They keep speaking because faith comes by hearing. Through their speaking, the spirit of prophecy is released to accomplish God’s intention. What they proclaim may extend beyond their own lifetime, yet God continues working towards its fulfilment. You remember Prophet Isaiah talking about a virgin conceiving, and it never happened in his days or even in the next generation; the prophecy was fulfilled 600 to 700 years after ( between 739 BC and 681 BC).
Therefore, prophetic ministry cannot be measured by dramatic expressions, clothing, or the repeated declaration, “Thus saith the Lord.” Neither should we assume that someone knows God’s purpose simply because he can disclose hidden information.
The question we must ask is: What is this ministry revealing about God and His Son? Is it showing us God’s vision and how humanity connects to it? Is it preparing our hearts to become His habitation?
A person may be both a seer and a prophet; note that in the life of Balaam. Nevertheless, the assignments must be understood.

Today’s prophets must expound what God has already committed to His prophets and apostles. Their ministry should reveal the Son and serve the fulfilment of God’s vision.

We must therefore pay attention to what our hearing is producing. Are our hearts receiving God’s impressions? Are our lives being raised? Are we learning God and becoming responsive to His eternal purpose?

The Sincere Milk of the Word
Dearly Beloved Brethen of the Age of the Reign of Life.

You know it's easy to hear so many revelations and get used to them and truly understand them as the spirit giveth understanding and feel good about hearing the truth and bask in the Euphoria of it.

And then when you hear about milk of the word, you can easily feel like Oh... I must have passed this level! (I didn't say you haven't 🙃)
It seems mere... Basic... Ordinary

But have you ever been in that position where something that was like a tall commandment for you which you're still trusting God to keep, and then you hear during a teaching and see proofs in Scripture where that particular thing was wrought in men by pure milk of the Word???
And you're like... Really???
God abeg 🤲😩
With all my revelation...

I stand to acknowledge the power and potency in the sincere milk of the Word!
In Matt. 5:18 Jesus affirms that no jot nor tittle of the Word of God would pass away before coming to fulfillment!

The Milk of the Word is a proceeding out of the mouth of the Lord which when it is sourced from everlasting light, is able to make much power available!!!
Pst Dimeji Elugbadebo made a striking statement during singles rendezvous and I quote: "Faith in milk is supposed to separate a man from confidence in the natural". You'd agree with me that it takes lot of power to do that.
So until we begin to rightly discern the allocation of the milk we might not be able to access the power it is supposed to deliver to us. So while we would not tabernacle with the milk of the Word, we would also not overlook it!
While we would pay attention to the path to Eternal life that God is revealing and hear all the tall revelations, we would also discern rightly and not despise what God has put in the Milk of the Word to do in us.
It is an important part of the gospel on which the whole building would rest. Our ability to journey well in meat and even strong meat is by how much  of milk of the Word we have used (not just the one we've heard).

I bless God for the restoration of the content of the pure milk of the word to the church again🙌. I'm still waiting and expectant for the Lord to once again open up the details of what the early church were taught as the apostles doctrine.

The Psalmist said in
Psalms 19:13," Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression."

I now see that it is being presumptuous and a great transgression to despise the milk of the Word!
Hei... God😩🤲
We must not allow the privilege of hearing great revelations make us commit this great transgression.
Romans 12:3 says "For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

God knows most perfectly what is lacking in the building of every man and that is why he wants to supply it by taking us back to milk from time to time. We must be humble enough to pay attention when the Lord is turning our attention to seemingly simple things .

It is the same Mouth that is speaking when you're hearing the Servant and the Two Prophets and also when you hear about how you should be a student of scripture or how you should pray aloud until you can hear what you're saying.
It is the same Lord!
Do not despise it!!!

Shalom Brethren ❤️

The Physical Reality of the Cross
I replied Uncle Jay's post on "what really happened on the Cross?" and I felt I should breathe it on here as well.

It's very interesting that some of us think that Jesus was just simply hanged and then, after a while, died. Nah, that was not the case.
I was speaking with one of my students the other day, and he was giving me a graphic description of how horrifying staying on the Cross was for Jesus. We all know about the lashes, the nailing, and the spitting on, but staying on the Cross was a whole different torture for Jesus.

The Struggle for Breath:
Since His leg wasn't standing on anything, and His arms were wide apart, His chest couldn’t find ease for the breathing process. He could easily inhale, but exhaling was difficult because He was literally hanging on His shoulders. It's like doing a dead hang, but worse (many of us can't even do that for more than 60 seconds; Jesus stayed there for hours).

The Physical Cost:
Because there was weight on His diaphragm and air couldn't come out easily, He had to drag His body up constantly, pulling on the nails in His legs and His wrists. This must have caused excruciating pain because the nails were close to His nerves. He went on with that until His muscles started giving way and cramping.

The Choice to Stay:
He had to go through all of that just to stay on the Cross when He actually had what it takes to get out and be freed from the pain, but He didn't.
He stayed because  He saw a greater glory ahead of Him and knew that leaving at that point would lead to an abortion of the crowning of all the works He had been doing before that point. That last suffering was necessary for all the sufferings He had been going through to count and matter.

Our Own Seasons on the Cross:
I believe the Cross was symbolic to typify how those of us who follow the Lord will have to stay on our cross at certain seasons of our lives.
We have heard "carry your cross" and "bear your cross"—that's one thing I know we'll have to do all our lives; we'll carry our cross until we die. But staying on our cross in the pain and the hurt, and allowing the timing of the Cross to fulfill its course without deciding to leave in the midst of it, will bring us breakthroughs.

> Just as Jesus had the power to leave that Cross, sometimes we have what it takes to not stay on our cross and God will not be angry! But staying will bring us breakthroughs in the spirit that a thousand days of fasting and prayer wouldn't bring us.>

My Daily Prayer:
So, my prayer every day is that the Lord will teach me wisdom on how to:

    •   Stay on the Cross and bear the pain.
    •   Learn the right heart posture to have while enduring the pain.
    •  Bless in pain and not curse in pain, just like Jesus, who could still bless in that state and commit His life to God when His breath was giving way.
    • I want to trust God enough to stay on the Cross even when it seems like my physical body is giving way.

We can't stake our life on the Promise of eternal life and not be serious with God. Either we don't understand what we're saying, or we've been bewitched. Ahhh, please we shouldn't play with our life if we're not ready to be committed.

The Promise isn't automatically received by being Born Again. Being born again doesn't give it to us; it only gives us entrance to begin the journey. We have to journey to the end to receive it. But it is sure that if we follow God, we will have it. If it were received by being Born Again, the Scriptures wouldn't tell us to make our calling and election sure:
"Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make our calling and election sure: for if we do these things, we shall never fall:"
— 2 Peter 1:10 (KJV)

The journey of salvation requires us to walk diligently. We can't stop being diligent. We can't stop pressing. We can't grow weary of the journey. It won't be easy, but we can have the Promise.

"And we desire that every one of us do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That we be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises."
— Hebrews 6:11-12

Woke up with 2 thought  this morning, here is one

GOD DOES NOT TEST YOU TO DISCOVER WHERE YOUR HEART IS; HE TESTS YOU SO THAT YOU CAN DISCOVER WHERE YOUR HEART IS.

 Deuteronomy 13:3 (KJV)
"Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul."

Many times, when we are asked, Do you love God? our immediate response is YES!

But have we ever stopped to examine what we actually mean when we say we love God?

Sometimes, our understanding of loving God is based on our personal interpretation of what love means. We have developed our own definitions, shaped by our experiences, religious activities, emotions and even the world's subtle definition of love.

Consequently, we may confidently declare that we love God without necessarily understanding what loving Him with all our heart and soul truly means.

This brings us to an important question:

Why does God prove or test the hearts of men?

Someone might ask: Why should God have to prove me? After all, I attend church regularly, I serve in different units and capacities in the church, I give to people when they are in need, and I participate in the activities of God's house.

A person can be very active in church and still have an undiscovered area of the heart that has not fully surrendered to God.
A person can give generously and still struggle to obey God when obedience becomes uncomfortable.

A person can serve faithfully and yet discover that their commitment is stronger when things are convenient than when sacrifice is required.

This is why God's proving is important.

Sometimes, what we call love for God has not been tested beyond the boundaries of our comfort, personal interests and expectations.

The test reveals what our religious activities may not necessarily reveal.

WHAT THEN IS THE LOVE OF GOD?

The answer points us to JESUS!

Jesus is not merely an example of God's love; He is the fullest revelation of God's love towards humanity.

John 14:15
"If ye love me, keep my commandments."

Notice that Jesus connects love with obedience.

Again, 1 John 5:3 says:

"For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous."

Therefore, loving God is not merely an emotional declaration. It is a life that responds to God through Jesus Christ.

Jesus reveals the standard of love, the expression of love and the pathway of obedience.

The more we submit ourselves to Jesus, the more our understanding of loving God is purified from our personal assumptions and worldly definitions.

It is through Christ that we learn what it means to surrender, obey, sacrifice, remain faithful and put the will of God above our own desires.

John 15:5

"I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."

Our relationship with Jesus is therefore central to the expression of our love for God.

WHY DOES GOD ALLOW US TO BE TESTED?

Abraham in Genesis 22.

God instructed Abraham to offer Isaac, the very son through whom the promise had been established.

God already knew Abraham, but the test brought Abraham's faith and obedience into manifestation.

In Genesis 22:12, God said:

Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me."

The test brought something that was in Abraham's heart into visible expression.

It revealed the depth of his reverence and obedience.

Sometimes, we do not fully understand the condition of our hearts until our faith encounters a situation that demands a response.

We may think we love God until His instructions confront our personal desires.

We may think we trust God until circumstances challenge our expectations.

We may think we have surrendered everything until God asks for something we have secretly reserved for ourselves.

That is why the test is important.

God does not need a test to become omniscient or to discover information He does not already know.

Rather, His proving brings the condition of our hearts into manifestation so that we can see what is truly there.

Therefore, the next time you encounter a test of faith, do not only ask, Why is God allowing this to happen to me?

Also ask:
What is this situation revealing about my love for God?

Is my obedience dependent on convenience?

Do I love God for who He is or merely for what I receive from Him?

Is Jesus truly the Lord of every area of my life?

God does not test you to discover where your heart is; He tests you so that you can discover where your heart is.

And when the condition of that heart is revealed, do not run away from the revelation. Bring it to Jesus, because He is the one through whom our hearts are transformed and our love for God finds its true expression.

The supply chain of a fall

Nobody falls suddenly. They are supplied.

James laid out the production line two thousand years ago. "Every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death." James 1:14-15

Read it like a process diagram.

Desire. Then bait. Then conception. Then birth. Then death.

Five stages. The act of sin is stage four. By the time you commit it, the industry has already done eighty percent of its work, quietly, in the dark, while you were not watching your diet.

𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝘀

"Drawn away of his own lust." Not the devil's. His own. The raw material of every fall is already inside the man. The enemy supplies nothing but the bait.

Which means the question is never "how do I resist at stage four?" You will lose at stage four. Everyone does. The question is what you are feeding at stage one.

"They that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh." Romans 8:5. Mind is a diet word. Whatever your mind grazes on, your desire grows toward. Feed the flesh for six days and ask the Spirit to win on the seventh. It will not.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲

Paul adds a word James doesn't. "Make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof." Romans 13:14

Provision. Stocking the pantry in advance. The phone in the bedroom. The account not deleted. The friendship you know is a door. The "just to see." Nobody sins at the moment of provision. That is what makes it lethal. You feel innocent while you are arranging the fall.

A man who makes provision has already decided. He is just waiting for his body to catch up.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝘅𝗲𝗱

Here is the part religion refuses to accept. "The carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be." Romans 8:7

Cannot. Paul does not say the flesh is weak or unruly. He says it is incapable. You cannot train it, discipline it into holiness, or shame it into submission. It has no mode in which it obeys God.

So God did not reform it. He crucified it. "Our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed." Romans 6:6

Your job is not to improve the old man. It is to stop feeding a corpse. "Reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin." Romans 6:11. Reckon. Count it so. Daily. Not because you feel dead but because He said it is finished.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻

There is a second production line, and it runs on the same logic.

Feed the Spirit. Then mind the Spirit. Then walk in the Spirit. Then "ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh." Galatians 5:16

Notice the order. Walking in the Spirit is not what you do after beating the flesh. It is how the flesh gets beaten. The victory is a by-product of the diet.

"Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength… to still the enemy." Psalm 8:2. The strength is in the one still feeding. Nobody graduates from the breast. The day you think you have, the first supply chain resumes.

𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻

Starve stage one. Guard your mind's diet.
Refuse stage two. Make no provision. Delete, close, leave.
Reckon daily. The old man is dead; stop feeding him.
Feed the other chain. Word, prayer, fellowship, every day, especially the days you feel clean.

A fall is never an event. It is a supply chain that was allowed to run.

Cut the supply.
