The Lord's second coming
This breath is inspired by the post on "THE INHERITANCE" BY @Abbie
1 Thessalonians 5:2-4
There are several verses of the scriptures that has either been interpreted wrongly or taken in isolation and for me the bible passage above takes the lead (esp verse 2) because, I believe this has gotten many of our brethren in the faith running really fast on the wrong lane. I think we should all just register it first of all in our minds that the Lord's coming is not a physical event, Yes! it is an event but it's not a one-off event. Even the first event of his coming is still a doubt for some till date, and the reason for his coming which is of more importance is still not known to many, and this is to say that the Scriptures and the center theme which is Jesus Christ the son of God is a spiritual nomenclature.  1John: 5:20 The reason for the Lord's coming is to give us an understanding of whom the Son of God is and the reason for his coming: to know the true God and eternal life. John 17:3

Back to 1 Thessalonians 5:2-4,
Many people still quote IN ISOLATION, the coming of the lord is like a thief in the night Verse 2 of 1 Thessalonians 5, Yes true but to them that are in the dark verse 4 says " but ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief, 5 says "ye are all children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness" 6 " therefore let us not sleep..." hmm sleep!!! God will not allow us to sleep unto Death o (ifykyk)
I trust my egbons @everyone will strengthen this thought and give clarity wherever is confusing or not laid well.

THE INHERITANCE (#1)

Just thought to share a few points that blessed me from Numbers 26:52-56

I saw how a difference was put between the land and the inheritance in verses 54 and 55.  Very striking...
You don't believe me??
Read Numbers 26:53 again
Aloud this time...
It boldly says the land was given for the inheritance that is: for the purpose of getting the inheritance...

Because it's easy to assume that the land of the "ites" or heights (Canaanites, Hittites, Jebusites and so on ) was the inheritance of the Israelites...
(BTW... Israelites... Hmmm... They got the "ites" thing tooo... Just noticed that, while typing this sha😅 ... Those guys were made for the heights from the beginning...)

A strong preposition, "Notwithstanding" was used at the beginning of verse 55 showing that the discussion of inheritance was unmistakably different from that of the physical land.

This brings back  to memory, teachings about how the promised land is not the final destination but rather, only a land to get a promise...
So the promised land is only a means to an end.
It is the promised Land but also a Land of another Promise!

Let's talk more about what this inheritance really is later this week yeah??

Over and out✌️
